South Yorkshire Transport | News // South Yorkshire Transport Maps Update

Please be advised, that following consultation and discussions between First South Yorkshire, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, South Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority and Sheffield City Council, the proposed service changes across Sheffield have now been withdrawn.

First South Yorkshire had proposed a number of changes in the Sheffield area from July 19th, but following discussions with SYPTE and Sheffield Council it has decided not to implement most of these proposed service and so present routes will continue to operate as normal.

There will, however, be timetable changes on the following routes:

  • 21 (Sheffield to Rotherham via Killamarsh)
  • 23 (Sheffield to Rotherham via Dinnington)
  • 23A (Sheffield to Rotherham via Dinnington)
  • 23C (Sheffield to Rotherham via Dinnington)
  • 24 (Sheffield to Rotherham via Dinnington)
  • 25 (Rotherham to Dinnington)
  • 26 (Sheffield to Aston via Treeton)
  • 27 (Rotherham to Crystal Peaks via Aston)
  • 28 (Meadowhall to Killamarsh via Crystal Peaks)
  • 31 (Rotherham to Meadowhall via Brinsworth)
  • 32 (Rotherham to Sheffield via Catcliffe)
  • 33 (Rotherham to Treeton via Catcliffe)
  • 66 (Rotherham to Sheffield via High Green)
  • 69 (Rotherham to Sheffield via Tinsley)

A number of these routes that are operated by FSY currently, will be operated by other operators in the early mornings, evenings and on Sundays. For further details on these service changes, please visit www.travelsouthyorkshire.com or www.firstmainline.co.uk

As a result, we have replaced the Network Map for Sheffield which was put in place early last month in preparation for the service changes and enhancements from July 19th 2009. This is due to Sheffield City Council not willing to sign up for the service changes, as part of the Sheffield Bus Agreement that was signed back in May 2007 and involves South Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority, Sheffield City Council and First South Yorkshire.

As a result we have updated the April 2009 Sheffield Network Map with a few additions and changed a few minor things, though this is now correct as of July 19th 2009 and is available to view and download in the Maps section of this website.

Here is the direct link to the revised Sheffield Network Map.
