South Yorkshire Transport | News // Network Maps Updates for September...

Today (10th August 2009) we've updated the network maps for the Barnsley and Doncaster boroughs to carry out routine maintenance and also update both network maps with the changes to bus services, that come in effect from Monday 7th September 2009. This includes new service 48 in Barnsley.

The updates to the maps include a change of some of the lines that are already apart of the maps and the addition of new routes, either as a result of the service changes from September, such as the 48 in Barnsley or as a result of making a more comprehensive map for the 4 boroughs of South Yorkshire such as the 707 for Doncaster.

A summary of the changes can be viewed below.

Barnsley:

  • We've introduced the new Red Line Buses service 48 to the Olive Line network.

Doncaster:

  • We've added routes 707 and X19 to the network map, which now fall under the Light Turquoise line, along with services 25, 91 and 99.
  • We've also made a slight few changes to some parts of the network map, such as the Cantley area of Doncaster on the 57 route, to accommodate other parts of the map. In this case, this was so routes 707 and X19 could be added to the Doncaster Network Map.
