South Yorkshire Transport Network Maps have now been updated to the April 2009 service changes and feature a revamped look as part of our new colour scheme and look. More routes than ever before have been added to these maps and they are now easier to use than ever before. In Barnsley we have changed a few routes around and added new routes 34/34a/52 and 194 to the Barnsley Network Map. These routes will now be known as the Beige Line and operate between Barnsley and Carlton. The existing Beige Line route 11 to Athersley North has now been re branded as the Purple Line. We have also changed the line colours of route 1 to Magenta, 6 to Lime, 8,8a & 9 to Mauve, 20/20a/21/23 & 24 to Brown, 31 & 32 to Indigo, 35,35a,36,37,46 & 47 to Olive, 67,68,68a & 69 to Blue, 218 & 219 to Green and 222,226 & 229 to Turquoise. This is to better reflect the Barnsley Town Lines branding on Stagecoach Yorkshire vehicles within the town. We have also added new routes 18,94,443 and 444 to the map and split the current Claret Line up. The new Claret Line now comprises of services 18,93,95 & 95a. The other old Claret Line services 92 & 92a along with new routes 94,443 and 444 have become the new Light Green Line. In Doncaster we have added new route 63 to the map which will now be known as the Turquoise Line which formed part of route 76 between Bentley and Long Sandall. Due to these routes been split by First South Yorkshire in April 2009, the new 76 route will now be known as the Gray Line. We have also added routes 64 & 64a to Arksey onto the map and these fall under the Turqouise Line, as per service 63. We have also added route X19 to the map as part of the Olive Line. In Rotherham we have added new route 10a to the map and also re-designed the Flanderwell, Sunnyside and Bramley areas on the map by adding new route 10a. We have also changed route 31 on the map to reflect the new route it will take from the April service changes by First South Yorkshire in the Canklow / Brinsworth area. All other maps have had minor tweaks implemented on them in preparation for the April 2009 service changes. We welcome all feedback regarding our network maps and this can be submitted to us using the Feedback drop down section on the Contact Us page of this website. If you spot any mistakes or think we should add any more routes then please contact us with your comments/suggestions. |
